Officials: More than 60 cats rescued from hoarding at Ocoee homes
An Orange County Animal Services spokeswoman said late Thursday 62 cats had been confiscated. Orange County animal-services officials teamed with Ocoee police to rescue dozens of cats from deplorable conditions in an apparent hoarding situation at two homes Thursday, a spokeswoman said.

Gilroy home damaged in fire, two cats rescued
Gilroy – Two people escaped safely and so did their two cats from a second-alarm house fire on the 1700 block of Mantelli Drive in Gilroy Monday afternoon. Dozens of cats rescued from feral colony
LYNN – Sixty feral cats and kittens living at a feline shelter in Lynn are looking for volunteers to feed them. The Friends of Beverly Animals, the non-profit organization that oversees the so-called “cat colony” at the Lynn-Saugus line, needs people who can offer an hour a week or every other week.
